Chef Ionut Munteanu

I am a professional chef with 17 years of experience in the culinary world. My journey began right after high school, when I started working as a pizzaiolo. Two years later, I had the privilege of joining the Vecchio 1812 team—at the time, the best restaurant in Romania. Under the guidance of Head Chef Augustin Paraschiv, I learned how nature, technique, and human creativity come together to bring joy on a plate. His mentorship shaped the way I cook today: with intention, respect for ingredients, and a deep appreciation for the craft.

Over the years, I’ve gained experience across a wide range of cuisines, each adding new layers to my culinary identity. However, Mediterranean cuisine is where I feel most at home. Its simplicity, honesty, and celebration of fresh ingredients resonate with my own philosophy as a chef.

My goal as a private chef is to create memorable dining experiences—meals that feel personal, warm, and full of soul.
