Hola! I’m Luis Cabrera, an internationally awarded chef, entrepreneur, and passionate creator of experiences through food and drinks. Over the past two decades, I’ve traveled and worked across the US, Australia, Central America, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, and Mexico, immersing myself in diverse culinary cultures and techniques. I did my professional studies in Italy, where I became a member of the Italian Chefs Federation and represented Italy at the Culinary Olympics in Germany in 2008, winning the Silver Medal in the category of "Culinary Artistry".

Back in New Zealand, I founded Besos Latinos Restaurant and Besos Latinos Ceviche Bar, bringing authentic Latin American flavours to Auckland diners, and later created Besos Margarita, a multi-awarded ready-to-serve cocktail brand that reflects the same passion, craft, and culture. I’ve had the privilege of cooking for celebrities, artists, ministers, and world leaders, including Barack Obama, and collaborating with renowned chefs like Simon Gault, Peter Gordon, and Michael Meredith.

What drives me most is creating authentic, unforgettable experiences—whether it’s a perfectly balanced dish, a cocktail with the ideal pairing, or a private dinner that makes people feel connected and inspired. I thrive on creativity, resilience, and innovation, and I love sharing my stories and passion for food and drinks (specially Margaritas) with everyone I meet.
