Get to know me better
I am a practical Chef who values seasonal ingredients and doesn't limit herself with what is on a recipe book.
I am a Communication Arts graduate but decided to pursue my passion for food and cooking after not finding happiness with my TV writing job. I initially worked for free in Intercontinental Hotel Manila to gain trust and prove my worth in the kitchen. I was later on hired in the Pastry kitchen and three years later, in the fine dining kitchen of the Prince Albert Rotisserie where I learned French cuisines and honed my plating skills. I moved to Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila after being offered the position of Sous Chef Garde Manger. After two years of managing my kitchen and my rosters, I moved to Cambodia to manage a residence and cook for four US Ambassadors for 12 years. This is where I learned and trained myself how to cook for each individual. I recently retired from overseas work to pursue another new passion which is food gardening. The farm is on the works and while it may take a while before planting and harvest season, a job like this on the side wouldn't hurt.

...age 5. My mom taught me a lot in the kitchen. Her specialties are coconut based dishes and anything that my father (a butcher) brings home.
A role model in the kitchen is...
...my mom. But professionally, Anthony Bourdain is my hero.
