Chef Matias Guerra

I hired Chef Matias for our Coachella weekend to prepare five different meals for 13 guests. From the very first interaction I had with Chef Matias till the final meal he prepared everything was extraordinary. When discussing the menu he was creative, thoughtful and really listened to my requests. For each meal we went with a different theme (Mediterranean, French, Italian, Mexican.. Every meal was beautifully presented and explained, elevating the experience beyond just dining into something truly memorable. Chef Matias had a perfect blend of professionalism and charisma which all of us enjoyed. Even when presented with an unforeseen challenge (both ovens stopped working) he effortlessly pivoted and delivered a delicious meal. The kitchen was left spotless, the service was impeccable, and the entire weekend flowed beautifully. If you’re considering a private chef experience and want something that feels special, elevated, and genuinely unforgettable, this is it. I would absolutely book Chef Matias without hesitation.

Chef Matias created two dinners for our party of seven during our stay in Palm Springs. We had Italian night and Mexican night. Chef Matias went above and beyond in his preparation, presentation and expertise in each dinner. We loved everything he prepared and thoroughly enjoyed spending those evenings with Chef Matias! I highly recommend Chef Matias for your next event!

Chef Matias was incredible. He arrived on time, cooked us a delicious taco night with a full spread. He set the table and made it look beautiful. He was super flexible and very kind. We really enjoyed his food and all of his salsa’s were delicious. He also made us breakfast burritos and yogurt parfaits for the mornings. Our kitchen was spotless after. The whole group raved about his food all weekend. Book him if you can!

Chef Matias cooked dinner for our large group on New Year's Eve and it could not have been better. He even had a separate meal to prepare for the four kids. Would hire him again in a heartbeat.

What a fantastic experience! Chef Matias was very passionate, engaging, and knowledgeable, as well as meticulous about keeping the kitchen clean throughout the cooking process. He accommodated a slightly revised Italian menu for my husband's and my 5 year anniversary dinner, and it was absolutely delicious. I am not exaggerating when I say that the entire meal was one of the best we've ever had. We were particularly in love with the tomato & roasted red pepper soup with basil & feta. The homemade pasta making process was very interesting to watch, and I think we'll struggle to go back to non-homemade pasta in the future. We cannot recommend Chef highly enough, and we will definitely be booking him again in the near future.

Chef Matias was exceptional. Hiring a personal chef at our Airbnb was a 50th birthday gift to someone special to me. He was extremely professional through and through and made the evening seamlessly enjoyable and memorable. Every dish was presented beautifully and had amazing flavor. When it was time for dessert, he even put a birthday candle on the Panna Cotta. We’re going to be talking about this evening for years to come. Definitely would hire him again for my next occasion.

Chef Matias was great. We had him for 4 meals and the kids were so excited to see him by the end. The food was top notch and he was really good about getting our kids involved with the process.
