Chef Noemi Matis

I have a quite unconventional path to the kitchen. My journey started in international relations, where I studied global affairs, diplomacy, and cross-cultural communication. First, I started to work at the British Embassy, as a social media officer. Also here i had the opportunity to work with the residence and the world of the ‘official dinners’. Even here i started to make cooking videos with the ambassador :) Later, I transitioned into public relations, where I honed my storytelling skills, working with brands to shape their narratives. What i most enjoyed here, is the work with food brands where i had the opprtunity to film some cooking videos and creating recipes for them. But amidst all the policy discussions and press releases, I realized my true passion had always been in the kitchen. Cooking had always been my creative outlet, a way to connect with people beyond words. So, I made the leap— let the nudging of JJ and inscribed for a cooking school.

I’m passionate about creating dishes that complement the natural wines, celebrating seasonal ingredients, using all the vegetables each season gives us and curating experiences that bring people together. My background in international relations still influences my approach—I see food as a universal language, a way to bridge cultures and tell stories on a plate. I love always learning, always experimenting, and always looking for the next great flavor combination.
