I’m Luigi, chef and owner of Bistro Numero Zero in Amsterdam. I cook Italian food, but without too many rules: I like starting from tradition, mixing it with whatever inspires me around me, and turning it into something simple, elegant and, above all, delicious. My cooking is rooted in the flavours and generosity of Italy, but shaped by the people, ingredients and energy I discover in Amsterdam. I believe the best meals feel personal, relaxed and memorable, whether they are shared around a family table or served at a special dinner. For me, cooking is a serious way of making people happy, while not taking myself too seriously.
