Chef David has worked over a decade across established restaurants globally – Burnt Ends and Pollen in Singapore, Le Bernardin in New York City and Benu in San Francisco. Chef David moved to Hong Kong in 2016, headhunted to be the Sous Chef of the now 3-Michelin Star Restaurant Ta Vie, before returning to Singapore in 2018 to open Cloud Nine Private Dining.

Wonderful way to spend Valentine’s Day with a private dining experience from Chef David. My wife and I enjoyed each and every dish, which were presented well and served perfectly, accompanied by the narrative from Chef David and his assistant.

Chef David is excellent. Extensive menu, super chill, deeply knowledgeable. 10/10 would dine with him again. Master of stainless steel pan sear.

Chef David arrived on time. He had prepared a very innovative and delicious menu, which he served with perfect pacing between courses. He left the kitchen just as clean if not cleaner than how he found it. communication with him before the dinner was fluid and quick, making me feel reassured. Would recommend him to my friends.

I’m very impressed by the dishes cooked by Chef David! Me and my husband both love all of the dishes and we felt it’s so much better as compared to a lot restaurants outside. Food serving is very quick, we didn’t have to wait. Chef even shared some tips and tricks on his cooking experience which we are very thankful for. looking forward to more of his food!

Being young parents with an infant, it is challenging to eat out. Hence this experience and bringing in a chef to cook for us is brilliant. Chef David's culinary skills are wonderful and the dishes were great! We really enjoyed it. He was friendly and engaging, with that Singapore touch. Would definitely recommend him for any private dining events!

Really innovative food! Chef David was very accommodating to the requests and it was really value for money. Chef David really made us feel like we were dining at a fine dining restaurant. The only improvement that could be made was that a special dietary request was overlooked but he very quickly corrected the mistake so I’m super appreciative ! Would recommend !

David delivered a great experience for us. Every item on the menu was served deliciously. Dinner also ended at a good time for us! We enjoyed ourselves and recommend the whole experience for a hassle-free weeknight.

Every dish from Chef David hits the spot! Coupled with his warm personality and passion for his craft, David is one of the best chefs we have engaged for home dining!

David made the whole thing so stress free. He was open to changing the menu when I didn’t want certain ingredients and he was very prompt in his responses. He was punctual on the actual day and everything went very smoothly. His crew was very subtle and food was served hot and well presented. Very tasty too and all my guests were impressed by the food. Everyone’s plates were empty after each course. Definitely recommend David - he is professional and has good flavours!

It was surprise birthday dinner for my husband, and it was wonderful choice, and we enjoyed a lot. Having two small kids (4 years and 9 months old), we couldn’t think of enjoying nice dinner outside. With takeachef, and with Chef David, we could enjoy incredible, delicious food at our cozy home. I would highly recommend Chef David, and takeachef :)

it’s our first take on a private chef experience at home and gladly so. Chef David has been nothing but a charm in the whole experience. Thank you for making an amazing meal on our my wedding day. ps: a side note too to thank your assistant! I really appreciate how careful he is with my kitchen tools esp with my precious Gessi kitchen faucet as space was a luxury at my sink area. It’s the small details that does matters in the whole experience too!

Chef Daniel, his partner Pei Yee (apologies if i misspelled your name) and total crew were amazing! From the initial communication, set up, menu - fantastic experience. Took the edge and stress out of preparing everything and for once I actually got to sit and enjoy with everyone. The quality of the food was fantastic. My fussy guests (teenagers and young kids) finished everything and raved over the beef and risotto while my adult guests could not get enough of the pistachio butter (home made), French onion soup and beef served with asparagus. It was the best. Thank you Chef David! We had a fab night and I am sure this will be one of many! Cannot recommend him highly enough. Won’t regret it!!

David and his team did an incredible job at our house recently. It was a very enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend it. Looking forward to the next one already! Thanks
