Chef Nicolas Di Giovanni

Chef Nicolas and his wife Andrea were awesome. Very punctual and communicative throughout the process. The food was delicious. His fish balls and strawberry cheesecake were amazing.

Hiring a private chef in a foreign country in anticipation of a once-in-a-lifetime trip is a daunting, anxiety-ridden experience. So much of what you do is built on hope and speculation-- and you rely on the truth within reviews to give you some solace that everything is going to work out. To that: LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE both Chef Nicolas de Giovanni and Andrea. Of course, the food was fantastic-- lovingly and singularly prepared. (Candidly, the only mistake I made was not going bigger, more lavish. Had I done so, Chef Nicolas would have answered that call!). The explanation of each dish was careful and thoughtful. Both Chef and Andrea were so warm, welcoming, and engaging in conversation and explanation. Chef Nicolas is so talented-- my God, the gnocchi melted my brain. I cannot thank them enough for this experience. They took every level of a daunting task and turned it into a lifelong memory. Very good chef! The food was amazing and the portions were really big! We enjoyed a lot all the moments of the evening. I definitely would recommend Nicolas as a chef and I hope there will be next occasion to hire him again!
