I love using seasonal fruits and veggies and elevating them as much as I can, playing with different cuisines, and using the best ingredients
I am a professional chef with a little over 5 years of experience, starting from a local, family-owned business to now having experience in a Michelin-recommended French restaurant in Vancouver, Canada, L'Abattoir. I am 23, Dominican, but have lived in the Philippines, Argentina and Canada throughout my life, learning more and more about food as I grew up around all sorts of different cultures and people. I'm coming back to Santo Domingo for a little over a year to reset, change scenery and learn even more in a completely different agriculture. Cooking started out as a part-time gig, and eventually became a everlasting love in my life. It has completely changed my focus and drive, and I am looking for ways to continue giving life to people through the food I love to cook.
