I am a professional Chef with 20 years of International experiences. I have worked as a Junior Chef in Swiss hotels. I learned to cook from innovative Chefs in restaurants from Amsterdam and The Hague. I have worked as a Private chef for luxury and high end chalets in Switzerland, France and Austria. In Costa Rica I created a 6 course menu every day for a boutique hotel in the Jungle. Since 5 years I work in the Algarve and I have started my own catering company.

Chef Sebastian and Chef Elise made our stay in Portugal fantastic! Traveling with 5 kids under 5 is a lot of work and it was such a treat to know that dining and clean up was taken care of. The menu was expertly executed, thoughtful, and delicious for both adults and children alike. Our chefs were kind, polite, talented and such a pleasure to have in the house. We look forward to the next time we allow Take a Chef to exceed all expectations on our next trip. Thank you!

We had a great experience with Chef Sebastian! We had a group of 10 with ages ranging from 24-82 and everyone raved about the menu selections. His partner/assistant was very personable and helped with the service. It was one of our favourite meals during our stay in Portugal. They left our kitchen cleaner than when they arrived! Would highly recommend.

Bas and Elise were absolutely brilliant and made our final night of the holiday perfect. The food was delicious and would highly recommend the wine pairing!
