I’m Erim Şanal, 24 years old, and based in Istanbul.I’m a chef. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a variety of renowned kitchens
I started at Midpoint in the cold section, then worked in the pastry department at Lalezar Pasta. I joined the opening team of Cookshop’s new branch, where I worked in the hot section. I gained experience in the pastry and banquet kitchens at Çırağan Palace Kempinski, and later worked in breakfast and hot sections at Nusr-et / Cafe Di Dolce. At Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, I served in the room service and banquet kitchens. I also worked as the chef in charge of the cold section at Ahali Alaçatı.
Later, I had the opportunity to work in the cold section of the two Michelin-starred restaurant TURK Fatih Tutak, gaining valuable fine dining experience. I then joined one of Turkey’s most-watched TV competitions, MasterChef Türkiye, where I finished in sixth place.
