Chef Hamza Mercimek

I’m Chef Hamza Mercimek, a professional chef and MasterChef Türkiye contestant with over 15 years of experience in the culinary industry, including experience in five-star hotels in Türkiye and abroad.

My culinary identity is deeply rooted in Turkish and Ottoman cuisine, while my professional journey has allowed me to explore and work across a wide range of culinary styles, including fine dining, French, Italian, and Far Eastern cuisine. I particularly enjoy bringing the richness and elegance of Ottoman cuisine into a contemporary setting, combining traditional recipes, exceptional ingredients, and modern techniques.

For me, cooking is more than preparing a meal. It is about creating an experience that reflects the guests, the occasion, and the culture behind the food. Whether I am preparing an intimate private dinner, a special celebration, or a complete dining experience for a group, I pay close attention to every detail—from menu design and ingredient selection to presentation and service.

As a chef, I believe that the best dining experiences are personal, memorable, and thoughtfully crafted. My goal is to bring the authentic flavors of Türkiye to the table while creating a refined and welcoming experience that guests will remember long after the last dish has been served.
