At Luxua, we bring together over 16 years of combined experience in gourmet cuisine and exclusive service. Our team of private chefs has worked in high-end restaurants, hotels, and culinary projects across Costa Rica and abroad.

We are trained in internationally recognized culinary schools and deeply committed to cooking as a form of art and emotional expression.

Our specialties include Italian, Mexican, Peruvian, Spanish, Asian, and Costa Rican cuisines, with adaptations for allergies, intolerances, vegetarian and vegan diets.

We had chef Adrian and Bismark for our family vacation of 16 people for 4 days. They were absolutely incredible! We had no complaints. They were kind and polite as well. We sprung on a last minute dinner request and they were so happy to do it for us! They were so flexible and incredible with everything. 10 out of 10 recommend them for anything you’re looking for!

Our dinner with Maria was a top five all-time experience for us! We had never had a chef come prepare a meal like that, and it was everything we could have wanted. The food was fantastic, and we enjoyed getting to know Maria and learn her story. She was especially great at accommodating the young children in our group. Highly recommend!

This experience was incredible! We were a group of 8 so finding a menu that worked for everyone was tricky but we were able to make all the alterations we needed to make the experience perfect for us. The food was just amazing and there was more then enough of it! Some of us even got to have left overs for lunch the next day.This was such a special experience for us we will always remembers this!

When you travel to Costa Rica for a family vacation and need to feed 10 Adults & 5 children, all under the age of 5, how do you even satisfy all of these people? Hire Chef Felix and Chef Arlen to make dinner! They did an amazing job, we had them cook five meals for us and each menu was delicious. We were able to eat a variety of foods and pick from various menus based on regions, my favorite was the Peruvian night, the Ceviche and Seabass were delicious! We all really enjoyed our last night when we let the Chefs pick the menu for us, everyone was delighted and raved how good the food tasted. This was definitely the highlight of our time spent in Costa Rica, being able to have dinner in our special villa, sitting outside while all the kids enjoyed themselves....doesn't get any better then this for a family vacation. Many new memories were made and the Chefs were a big part of our experience. They are a 5 star team and would highly recommend to anyone thinking about hiring a Chef....just do it!! I will truly miss having them make our meals, so accommodating and friendly!

Our group can't say enough great things about Chef Giovanna. She is an amazing chef and person. Not only is her food absolutely delicious, she is kind and very attentive. The flavours and variety of the dishes she served throughout our vacation were incredible. Chef Giovanna made our stay in Tamarindo one we will never forget!

Very good overall experience. They were on schedule and flexible on menu selection, accommodating food and allergy restrictions. The team was delightfully personable, including humor. The food tasted terrific! They were very good at using our unit’s appliances and utensils. This experience worked out especially well, given the rainy conditions outside.

Maria was AMAZING. Super personable, and a wonderful chef. Diner was served on time and couldn’t have been better. Helped us with so many local questions we had. Each course was better than the last. Highly recommended.

WOW! Chef Felix and Chef Arlen did such an amazing job. The dishes they made were so delicious and the food and the delivery presentation was that of a 5 star restaurant. From the first day we felt like we were at home. On the first day I told Chef Felix that I will be going to the grocery store to get some snacks and drinks, without hesitation he said I will take you. I jump in he car and we went with me to the local grocery store, explain different snack and drinks that are local to Costa Rica. Then, after I finished shopping, we stopped at a local bar and we had the Costa Rica local drink Chiliguaro, it was like a great bloody mary drink in a shot. A must try if you are in Costa Rica, the name spoken by locals sounds like "chili-water". Thank you very much Chef Felix and Chef Arlen! You are great chefs and amazing people, you made our stay one we will not forget! I appreciate your hard work and amazing food! I hope to see you again, Pura Vida! Side note, Chef Felix I hope your food competition went great! Pura Vida!

Maria was amazing not only was she an amazing cook but she provided us with so much insight into everything Costa Rica has to offer. 10/10 stars! The food was incredible and the service was so professional. Would definitely recommend her!

Chef Maria was incredible! Her food was so delicious we were satisfied after every meal. Chef Maria was accommodating to our requests and even cooked dishes that weren't on her menu for us! I was a little worried about having easy access to food at an airbnb and Chef Maria took all the worry away after the first meal she made for us! We highly recommend Chef Maria and her team! AMAZING!!! Maria runs this successful business and we couldn't be more grateful for it. Not only did we eat an out of this world paella, but learned how to make it step by step. Yami, her sous chef, was very nice as well. Every bite was magical. SO WORTHY!!!

Chef Maria was both talented and accommodating. We asked if she would actually offer our experience as a cooking class (because my wife and I love cooking) and she was happy to. She let us be as involved as we wanted in food prep, but it honestly felt like we were slowing her down. The meal was fabulous and gave us ideas for things to make at home. She shared some neat chef tricks and techniques that we will definitely use. We opted for her Peruvian menu and the dishes were tastier, with more complex flavors than I expected. Maria’s service was also impeccable. She left the kitchen in our Airbnb as clean as when she arrived. Her meal portions are generous to the point that we have some leftovers to savor. I highly recommend Chef Maria.
