Maruxa born in Galicia, probably the first food paradise in Spain.

Maruxa was profoundly influenced by her grandmother, who transmitted to her the knowledge of traditional Galician Cuisine and the search of the finest ingredients. She graduated and completed a master's degree in Hotel Management and Gastronomy at CSHG (Hotel Management School of Galicia). After 15 years working in luxury hotels and restaurants around Europe, she moved to Mallorca to start a gourmet project (Bricemar Food SL). She just received an innovation award in circular economy from the Galician government; her project proposes a sustainable improvement for the Galician fishing industry. She promotes a new gastronomic era, conscious, sustainable, and with the importance of holistic nutrition.

Es war ein sehr schöner Abend, das Essen war unglaublich lecker und es wurde sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben. Sie war sehr aufmerksam und sauber. Leider hat das Menü vor Ort nicht dem entsprochen, was vorab besprochen wurde. Deshalb fand ich das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis etwas zu teuer. Zudem hat die Stimmung etwas darunter gelitten, dass das Essen und Trinken nicht komplett das war, auf was wir uns gefreut haben.

Chef Maraxa was the perfect chef for our event. She provided helpful guidance on creating a bespoke menu that required some dietary requirements. The food, story, flexibility and clean-up were all amazing.

This was the second time Chef Maruxa has catered for us at home, and once again she and her assistant, Sara, did a fantastic job. The food was exceptional in taste and presentation, with everything entirely cleaned and washed up before they left. The stacking of the dishwasher was a work of art! Communication was very easy via WhatsApp and Chef Maruxa offered us a bespoke menu (ie we did not have to stick strictly to the choices on her offer). We were delighted with this experience and will certainly be booking again with Take A Chef.

If you are looking for an exceptional culinary experience in Mallorca, look no further than Chef Maruxa. She poured so much hard work and dedication into crafting a phenomenal several-course meal completely from scratch. The food was spectacular, and her hospitality was unmatched. We truly felt like royalty being waited on by her. She started out by serving drinks at our pool and then we sat down for an amazing meal. She also took care of everything, leaving the kitchen perfectly clean. She also left us leftovers that we thoroughly enjoyed the next day. We would love to hire her again next time we are in Mallorca.

Maruxa and her assistant, Elodie, looked after us so well. The food was beautifully presented and delicious from start to finish. Maruxa gave plenty of advice about what to choose from her long list of options and we were all delighted with the authenticity and flavours of her cooking. They left the kitchen sparkling clean and wrapped up the leftovers for our lunch the next day. What a treat!

Maruxa was a lovely partner to make our time in Mallorca so special. She presented a beautiful menu and was very flexible with food allergies and changes on site in terms of the available prep areas. She offered a wine pairing and did a beautiful job pairing the wine with the menu and really telling a beautiful story. We would suggest working with her to anyone considering.

I booked this Chef with only 48 hours notice. There were nine people none of whom had had this experience except myself. Half foodies and half meat and potatoes crowd. After discussions with Chef Bricemar I felt comfortable allowing her to plan a surprise menu so she could source the ingredients on such short notice. This turned into a 12/10 experience for our group, not just the 12 courses but the whole human experience. All of my guests loved the experience as much as the food. Very nice dinner by Maruxa, she made a phenomenal dinner for my husband's birthday. All of the ingredients were so fresh!! Would definitely book again :)

The food was absolutely delicious, and she was super nice throughout the night! Love the food can not recommend it enough, After the dinner, she gave us a bunch of recommendations for the island which was also great.

Maruxa wa kind, warm, and attentive throughout the whole experience. The meal was exactly as agreed, and the quality and freshness of the food — especially the ingredients — were truly outstanding. You could really taste the care she puts into her cooking, and we especially appreciated the excellent regional ingredients. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish, and we would gladly recommend her.

Maruxa was great! The food was incredible, especially the truffle tortilla, the octopus and the beef. Would recommend and would book again, no doubt!

Chef Maruxa and her team went above and beyond our expectations. I, as well as our guest of honor would consider ourself "foodies" with travel and Michellin dining experience, Chef Maruxa is as fine as they come. We discussed her creating a seafood and local fare-focused birthday dinner for nine of us. She called me the day of, as she was doing her seafood shopping to ask about preferences - it doesn't get more fresh than that! Each course was focused on the sea, with Spanish touches, the background of each we enjoyed learning about. The birthday cake was made by pastry Chef Maru and was a technical and beautifully executed feat (lemon curd filled pavlova!) of which was also a surprise. I highly recommend her for any event - big or small.
