I’m Dídac Illa, a private chef from Barcelona based in Germany, creating contemporary Mediterranean dining experiences for families, small groups, and intimate celebrations.

My cooking is rooted in Catalan and Mediterranean tradition, shaped by seasonal produce, French foundations, and Italian technique. I design personalised menus that feel elegant, balanced, and deeply satisfying — with flavour, beauty, and comfort always at the centre.

After working in demanding professional kitchens, I realised that the kind of food I care most about belongs in more personal settings: around a family table, in a holiday home, or during a meaningful gathering. That is where food can feel both refined and genuinely caring.

I cook with calm precision and close attention to detail, choosing the method that best respects each ingredient — whether that means steam, low-temperature cooking, convection, or fire. Whenever possible, I prioritise local and seasonal produce to create meals that feel fresh, generous, and quietly memorable.

My goal is simple: to offer refined, personal food that makes guests feel cared for, comfortable, and well long after the meal is over.
