I am a happy and gracious man down to earth, with some very well-honed skills in my kitchen or yours.
With over 15 years of hands-on culinary adventure under my belt, I’m a chef fueled by passion, precision, and the pursuit of bold, unforgettable flavors. My journey started in Toronto, Canada, where I studied Culinary Management at Niagara College and apprenticed at Napoli Restaurant, diving deep into the art of Italian cuisine and mastering the craft of authentic pizza. The kind that speaks with a crispy crust and a soul warming sauce.
From the heat of the kitchen to the heart of the Caribbean, I returned home to Sint Maarten to cook at Shieka’s Bistro, where I embraced the vibrant flavors of local Caribbean cuisine and plant-based dishes. I continued my evolution at Maho Sonesta Resort, sharpening my fine dining skills in two of their premier restaurants, working alongside seasoned chefs and a world of global guests.
But my hunger for growth (and great food) didn't stop there.
I packed my knives and headed to Spain, where I helped launch Eat Sicily, an Italian pizzeria full of fire and flair. Then came Holland, where I joined Vegitalian, a fresh, forward-thinking vegetarian and Italian-style concept. From hand tossed pizzas to nourishing salad bowls, I helped guide its transformation into Bar Picar. A buzzing Mediterranean bar and tapas spot that brought people together over shared plates and bold, bright bites.
Now I’m back in the Caribbean, bringing my global experience home. Blending rustic Italian roots, plant-powered creativity, and Caribbean soul into every dish I make. Whether it's pizza, pasta, or a twist on local favorites, my food tells the story of everywhere I’ve been And everywhere I’m going.
