Chef Frank Robinson

I'm a multi-award winning mixologist and culinary artist. I was born and raised on St. Croix, US Virgin Islands and while the tastes of home guide me, I fuse flavors from around the world in both my food and my drinks. I believe in natural and fresh ingredients - making my own bitters and infusions, and relying on the freshest local juices and flavors. This dedication led to my being referred to as a "cocktail wizard" by Travel + Leisure, and a "beverage alchemist" by Forbes. I'm a member of The West Indian Culinary Alliance with whom I mixed cocktails at the James Beard Foundation in June 2017.

Experienced at mixing drinks, I found my culinary talents in college when I started thrilling family and friends by creating flavorful dishes, usually with whatever was on hand. From there I trained with culinary teacher Anton Doos and with Joseph Styles at Salud Bistro before catering private events and eventually opening Bes Craft Cocktail Lounge in 2016 in St. Croix. There, using sight, aroma, taste, music and atmosphere, I create unique experiences, balancing the appeal and elegance of a restaurant in a warm and comfortable lounge setting. For me, food and drinks bring people together. I think we all must eat, but even better is when we get to eat together and enjoy it.
