Private and retreat vegan chef, cooking classes, culinary traveller

My name is Ilenia Motta, I'm an italian vegan chef.

I have 20 years of experience as vegan chef, in different situations (gourmet restaurant, street food, weddings, detox programmes, retreats) the last 10 of these focusing on wellness retreats and events.

All the experiences I had make me adaptable and with a great sense of the quantities and the food cost management.

In 2001 I gratuated in Biological Sciences, and in 2006 I got a Diploma as Naturopath by RIZA Academy in Milan, with a master in Ayurveda nutrition, a discipline that went on studying in depth in the following years in India.

This scientific and holistic background gives me more skills in creating menus with a correct nutritional balance, attention to food combinations, but always tasty and appealing.

My passion for travelling is reflected in my food, I love creating dishes inspired by different cultures and I never use processed food to replace animal proteins, as the worldwide cuisines are so rich themselves of plant-based dishes and source of proteins that we can really create plenty of new combinations.

Last, but not least, I pay lot of attention to the presentation of food, as the beauty of a dish is the first step to create curiosity in the guests.

At the moment I'm based both in Malta and in Milan, but I'm avaiable to travel in other Countries.

I love cooking, it's a passion beside a job, and the best payback is making people happy, healthy and full of energy. Cooking to me is a form of art.

I attended different cooking courses since 2000. Last October 2025 I concluded the Cuisine Academy by 1 star Michelin Joia, in Milan.
