Hello, I'm Min Liang Lim.
I am a passionate and dedicated Sous Chef with over 8 years of experience in the culinary industry, specializing in creating innovative dishes with Chinese inspired that utilize local produce to tell a story and evoke nostalgia.
My career has been driven by a dream to explore the secrets behind local cuisines from around the world and to craft dining experiences that bring joy to customers and trigger cherished childhood memories.
I have been fortunate to train and work in some of the finest kitchens, including:
Entier French Dining (Michelin Selected) as a Sous Chef, where I help translate the Head Chef's vision, manage kitchen operations, and collaborate on menu development.
JAG Restaurant (1-Star Michelin) in Singapore as a Chef de Partie, where I managed the garde manger and fish stations, honing my skills with precision and fresh produce.
Beta KL and Dewakan (2-Star Michelin), where I deepened my understanding of Malaysian ingredients and fine dining execution.
I am also the Chef-Owner of Liang Dining (亮Dining), my own venture where I conceptualized a unique 9-course menu that represents the strokes of my name, blending Chinese-inspired flavours with Western presentation.
I am proficient in managing both front and back-of-house teams, controlling food costs, creating menus, and ensuring the highest standards of service and culinary excellence. I am fluent in English, Chinese, and Malay.
I am always eager to learn, create, and contribute to a team that values innovation and the profound impact of great food.
