Chef Christo obtained his Diploma in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts at Capsicum Culinary Studio in Pretoria, one of the greatest culinary schools the country has to offer. During his studies, he had the opportunity to showcase his skills on national television with South African celebrity chef, Reuben Riffel. Mentored by chef Genghis San, he found a love for Asian cuisine in the prestigious Protea Hotel: Fire & Ice. He secured an internship at one of the capital's top 10 restaurants, Fermier, where he perfected African-French fusion cuisine and practiced farm to fork concept innovation. In the private chef industry he has been using his knowledge, passion and creativity to produce delectable menus that portray the essence of South African culture and cuisine with flair! An entertainer at heart and a wizard in the kitchen, chef Christo will certainly leave you and your guests satisfied... and yet wanting more.

We had a wonderful day and a phenomenal meal,carefully and beautifully put together by Christo. Every detail was taken care of. The food was delicious! Presentation beautiful and he has a really pleasant personality that just blends into the mood of the crowd. Thank you Christo for making my day so amazing!

Christo is a great chef, friend, polite, and professional

Chef Christo displayed professionalism of the highest quality in his interaction with us and his service on the day. The meals were prepared meticulously and were all absolutely delicious! He took the time to indulge my daughter's questions and her enthusiasm when he was preparing the fresh pasta. She was completely in awe! Each and every course was a pleasant experience, our favourite being the main meal! I would highly recommend Chef Christo for this experience, that is surely one of the most memorable birthday gifts I ever received. Thank you Chef!

We tried the "private chef" for the fist time last night and the food and the Chef (Christo) was great. Freshly cooked very tasty and well presented. Exceeded Expectations! Overall a great experience - will certainly do it again soon.
