Chef Yuri Moodley

The name is Yuri. Others call me shadow.

I developed a passion for making food at a young age.

Honestly grateful to my mother for that as she allowed me to make my first curry at 7 years old. 7 years old!!!

From there I was allowed to be present in the kitchen as the spice runner which then exposed me to the variety of condiments and their beautiful aromas. Obviously at that age I didn't know what these beautiful words or flavours meant until I dipped into culinary arts.

When I grew a little older, I watched as my family would make some of the most exquisite traditional meals and delightful desserts, both traditional and non-traditional which brought all kinds of joy to those who indulged themselves.

I, now a qualified chef of almost a decade, truly appreciate those experiences as they have helped mold my journey and my passion within my field of passion and expertise.
