I am a professional chef with over 20 years of experience working in some of the finest 5-star hotels in Costa Rica. My philosophy is to ensure that clients fully enjoy their vacation — the sea, the sun, and the beautiful landscapes — while I take care of creating their culinary experience. When you return home, all you have to do is savor the perfect balance of flavors and combinations in each dish, designed to leave you 100% satisfied.

I began my culinary journey studying International Gastronomy under Chef Guillermo, later completing my professional training at the prestigious InterContinental Hotel’s 5-star culinary school.

Gerardo & his team were AMAZING! My friends came to Costa Rica for my 30th bday so we decided to do a private chef dinner & I am so happy I chose Gerardo. From the beginning he was so professional, attentive, & nice! His team came in, cooked, set up the food, cooked and cleaned! They even made us margaritas. I can’t say it enough how amazing they were. 10/10 recommend!

Chef Gerardo was incredible!!! And Roy his assistant was so much fun! This was our first time using take a chef and I can't wait to do it again. They arrived with all of the groceries and some dishes needed. We have them a quick tour of the kitchen and they were off. As chef Gerardo began preparing the food, Roy set the table beautifully and started mixing drinks and we had great conversation about costa Rica. When it was time for dinner, the food tasted incredible, the ceviche was fresh and amazing, the salad was impressive, but the surf and turf everything we hoped it would be and more. Everything was cooked to perfection and the chef was so incredibly nice. Roy did amazing job of serving and presenting all of the dishes and giving us a little background on what they made. We felt like we made new friends and truly they made our cluster of experience at one of a kind. I cannot recommend chef Gerardo enough.

Gerardo did an amazing job with us in the last week, he helped us in many more ways than only the meals. Gerardo and his assistant Roy helped us get groceries, beers, water and even medicine. The kitchen and table were always impecable and the food was excellent. Roy and Gerardo were super warm and caring with us. I’d give an 11/10 if I could.

We had a wonderful meal prepared very well. The food was really good and presented well. I would recommend Chef Gerardo to anyone. Thank you Chef for helping us with a special event. Derrick and Debbie.

We thoroughly enjoyed our private chef experience. Our chef and waitress were attentive, personable and very professional. The flavors in each of our dishes were bold and fresh. The experience was everything we hoped for and more.
