Based in London but I born and raised in South African where I grew up in the restaurant industry from the age of 15 years old working at various top restaurants. I started as a runner and quickly worked my way up to management. This is where my love, passion for food and journey began.

I have spent the last 6 years traveling the world working as a head chef on various very busy charter and private yachts in the Mediterranean, Croatia, Italy, Bahamas, Caribbean, Bermuda, Florida USA as well as on a top ski resort. I have also done many solo high profile functions for VIP guests (both big and small) in Cape Town working as a private chef and creating the most never ending memorable experiences for all my guests.

My passion is not just to create a beautiful evening and exquisitely tasting and beautifully presented dishes, but to be to apart of every experience with my guests and to create an evening no one will ever forget

Jean is incredibly fun, interesting, and talented! She understands the balance between giving privacy and being engaging. She has a wealth of life-experience...conversation is never boring! She provides an experience both in her food and her presence. And her food - wow! My taste buds haven't had a treat like Jean's food in a while. She was also willing to be flexible - with a vegan and 2 meat-eaters, she really delivered for everyone. Cannot recommend more!

O my World. What an amazing experience. Chef Jean made the entire experience so memorable and exciting. She is an amazing person with a great personality and I will 100% recommend her to everyone. Her dishes were out of this world and presentation was 5 star. Takeachef made it so easy to book and communicate with the chef and the entire process was very easy and fast. It was my mother’s 78 birthday and Chef Jean created one memorable experience for her that she will remember forever. Thank you Chef Jean and Takeachef you all are amazing ????????????
