Get to know me better

I'm a chef who takes preparing food as a form of love and meditation. The bar is never too high when it comes to cooking.

My name is Maurizio, and I am a personal and private chef.

I'm an experienced chef, Italian and French, classically trained.

I also love cooking ethnic food, particularly Indian, Middle Eastern, and North African cuisines.

I owned an award-winning Italian restaurant in Edinburgh from 1988 to 1995 called Ristorante Pellicano and earned a Celtic Cross on Scotland's Best Food Guide, two years in a row (93 and 94 best Italian in Edinburgh)

I have spent my entire life in the catering industry, and I'm also very passionate about wine. Combining food and wine is another service I can provide.

In my career, I cooked for many Scottish celebrities, including The Proclaimers and Simple Minds.

I also collaborated with Chef Gary McLain, winner of Master Chef Professional 2016.

I am very passionate about food and wine, and I only work with the highest-quality ingredients I can find. Whenever possible, I use organic products and locally sourced ingredients.

My mission is to make everyone smile as they enjoy my cooking and go the extra mile to achieve it.
