Chef Nancy Barbour

Hi, I'm a private chef with over 5 years' experience in the London private and corporate scene. Now based in Chester, work has taken me everywhere from Austria to Canada, and I'd love to cook for you wherever you are.

My food is all about seasonal, wholesome ingredients and dishes that feel balanced and satisfying. I want everyone at the table, whatever their age, to enjoy what's in front of them. I'm a big fan of family-style meals, as well as plated, and I'm always drawn to the fresh, vibrant flavours of Mediterranean, as well as the complex pairings found in Middle Eastern cooking (think Ottolenghi!).

I trained at Ashburton Culinary Academy, and since then I've been lucky enough to cook for Sotheby's, Purdy's, Goldman Sachs and Boodles Jewellers, as well as private clients including Alexander Armstrong, Charlotte Tilbury, Michael Gove as well as many others.

While I love adventurous cuisine, if you ask what my partner would request from me, it's always the classics; a Sunday roast; honey mustard veg, golden chicken, and roasties, always leaving room for some tiramisu.

And the treat for me after - delicious homemade stock!
