Hi, I’m Juan, an Argentine chef with an international career in gastronomy, with a background in Mediterranean cuisine and French patisserie. Growing up in Buenos Aires amongst pots and pans in a family dedicated to the culinary arts, gave me the tools to learn and ignited my passion for cooking. Today I am excited to share all of the knowledge and experience of my travels through my dishes with unique aromas, flavors and colors so you can experience the joy I feel every time I prepare a meal.

From his warm hospitality to the exquisite cuisine beautifully created for us - phenomenal! If you’re looking to treat yourself for a dinner in the comfort of your Airbnb look no further. Juan and his crew were punctual and accommodating even with the unexpected rainy weather. This Take A Chef experience was absolutely amazing. Juan cooked and served up a delicious menu. The guacamole with mango was such a fun twist and the tiramisu was divine. Would absolutely recommend!

I have to say that I was pretty blown away by the type of foods served and the quality/preparation of the food. Each course was expertly prepared to be a culinary delight! Would love to go to more sessions hosted by this Chef!!

I had an absolutely delightful experience with Chef Juan. From start to finish I was so impressed with his menu and choices. I loved his Watermelon Gazpacho and Fritos Del Mar, and his Lasagna with Bechamel Sauce was the best I've ever tasted. To top it off, his Tiramisu was scrumptious. I had so much fun watching and lending a hand as Chef Juan made my meal. I highly recommend this experience to anyone. Chef Juan knows his stuff!

Chef Juan procured an incredible coursed dinner and tiramisu dessert for me and my friends. His attention to detail and the heart he puts into each of his dishes was felt and truly made them taste all the better! La experiencia de cocina con Juan ha sido deliciosa! Lo que más me gustó fue relajarme y hacer nuevos amigos y amigas aquí en Sayulita La forma en la que los platos van llegando a tu mesa durante toda la noche, hace la plática muuuy agradable Sin duda repetiré cena cuando regrese!

We had a wonderful dinner with Chef Juan! He did a great job accommodating my food allergies, and created an excellent menu with fresh local ingredients. My favorite dishes were the tuna tostadas and the Peruvian style ceviche- he bought the fish that morning from a fisherman and it was amazing. The tropical guacamole was also very very good and something I'm going to try at home since we helped make that one (with patient instructions from Juan!) Chef Juan took the time to explain where he learned to make each dish and the culinary influences he's picked up in his travels across Latin America. It was a very special evening and I will absolutely be booking another experience on my next trip!

Ohhh what a fun night!! The food was delicious and so fun being shown how to make it all. Tropical guac was divine, Peruvian ceviche, what a dream! Juan is an amazing chef, really included us in the whole process and there was so much food! Definitely didn’t go away hungry! Would love to do it again, such a special evening in magical sayulita

What a magical evening! From the moment Chef Juan arrived, he set the tone for an evening of delicious food, great conversation and a memory of a beautiful dinner shared with friends. He was professional and warm and answered all of our questions as he prepared and served our food. I am vegetarian and he made me a special dish - a stuffed portobello mushroom that was to die for! Definitely book Juan if you are looking for an evening of culinary delights in Sayulita!
