Chef Joao and his team were amazing start to finish. The meat was absolutely amazing, everything was delicious, and the sangria was the perfect addition. The whole experience was seamless, fun and made my birthday extra special. It was such a treat to have everything taken care of while we relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. Couldn’t recommend him enough. An absolute highlight of our trip!

An incredible evening. João and his team put together a Portuguese-themed meal for our group that was so well curated, from the first course to the last, that we are considering a second dinner with them later in the trip to try more authentic dishes and get some variations on our favorites from the first night. Professional, attentive, and genuinely talented. Can't recommend highly enough for a group looking for something special.

We had an outstanding (and delicious) evening with chef Joao and his team of Marta and Luna. The food was fabulous and was exactly as described. Communication beforehand was perfect such that we had no concerns that everything was in order. The team arrived exactly on time as promised and left with the kitchen clean and tidy. We couldn’t fault anything. Chef Joao and his family were lovely, we were grateful that they considered that we had young children in our party. If anyone is looking for a treat with wonderful food, and a special chef and team to look after them then look no further. From the moment he arrived, his extremely dynamic and engaging personality brought an amazing energy to our evening. He is not just an incredible chef, but a fantastic host who made the entire experience unforgettable. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We started with an abundance of incredible starters—including perfectly prepared shrimp, fresh clams, and sweet figs—and everything just got better from there. What truly blew us away was his flexibility. At the very last minute, João effortlessly accommodated both food allergies and a vegetarian guest without missing a beat, ensuring everyone had a phenomenal meal. I booked chef João 4 months in advance. We had good communication, and he knew what I wanted and delivered excellently, supported by Marta. I wanted engagement and insights into Portuguese cooking which he was very happy to do. Professional, personable and highly recommended, need I say more.

Perfect! Responsive, flexible, positive attitude! The food was delicious and great variety. Chef and team were attentive, easy to work with, accommodated preferences, had great timing, right mix of attentive and space and the kitchen was cleaner than they came. Would highly recommended!

Chef Joao was beyond fantastic!!! The food was so delicious. He did exactly what we wanted and requested. The presentation was superb! And Chef Joao was a delightful person to be around. Our group loved him and we enjoyed every meal that was prepared!! I will definitely be using him again!!

João, Is a fantastic chef and did not disappoint in delivering a scrumptious menu for my sister’s 60th Birthday. The tapas menu was visually stunning and the taste of every dish was delightful. Both João and his partner were engaging and talkative, providing knowledge and history to the individual dishes that were presented. A truly fabulous evening and so one I would recommend. Chef Joao and his assistant Bruno were amazing! The food and service exceeded our expectations. The refreshing sangria kept flowing while our group chatted and connected around the dining table. Each dish was plated to perfection, and we really enjoyed hearing stories and descriptions of the food. We had plenty of time to relish the flavours without feeling rushed. Superb! They left our kitchen cleaner than it was earlier in the day and even removed our garbage and recycling! That meal was the highlight of our trip for sure :)
