Chef Fernando Almonacid

Fernando and Maria were excellent, the food was awesome, well presented and delicious. They were very friendly and did a great job cleaning up. I would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone wanting a special food experience. Well done guys.

Chef Fernando has been a dream. We had to change some dietary restrictions last minute and nothing was a problem for him. The menu was amazing and everything tasted incredible. Everyone at the table couldn’t stop talking about it.

Highly recommend Fer. The food was incredible. We all agreed that it was probably the best steak we’ve ever eaten. But all 3 courses were absolutely delicious, could not fault anything. Can’t wait to find another reason to hire him again!

Fernando and Maria were great! Everything was so easy to organise on my end and the night was really good. Fernando was flexible with the menu for what we wanted and the food was amazing! There was so much more than expected and it looked and tasted great. They were also both super friendly and professional in every aspect. Thanks for an awesome night!

Chef Fernando was amazing and has been so accommodating with changing dates due to all the lockdowns we have had here in Perth this year. He was always contactable and was a pleasure to have cook for us. He prepared a delicious filling 3-course menu for me and my guests and chatted away about his life and experiences. My guests had a great time and left very content (and full!). We definitely loved having him cook for us and I would love to do this again and have mentioned to many of my friends what a great experience it was. He was great & I must also mention his wonderful helper Niko who came along and helped prepare, serve and clean up afterward, leaving the kitchen clean and tidy. Both were fun to chat with and we look forward to seeing Chef Fer again so we can try his ‘Mexican’ cuisine next time!

Fernando and partner Mae (?) provided excellent service all around for my parent’s 50th anniversary. The food was fresh, well presented and sooooo good. And best of all, we didn’t have to do a thing (he even brought the serving dishes). In the lead up, Fernando was responsive to my queries and was happy to modify the menu when asked. I’d definitely recommend Fernando for a special at-home chef experience :)

My partner organised a surprise birthday dinner party which included two Take a Chefs. It was an absolute incredible experience. Fernando and his colleague were so professional, discreet and friendly. The food was delicious and plentiful. Would highly recommend.

Fernando and Mae were amazing! My partner and friend both have different dietary requirements (GF and non-processed foods), but Fer was very knowledgeable and able to work around this without concern. He was very patient during the lead-up, answering all my questions quickly, even helping out with wine paring activity I organised for the night. Overall, the night went off without a hitch and everyone was able to relax and just enjoy themselves. Highly recommended!!!
