a plant-based culinary artist. frenchie recently moved to melbourne. wholesome, seasonal, vibrant, creative.

i am Léonie,

a culinary artist born and raised in France, notably at the border of switzerland, within the mountains, who recently mouved to melbourne.

I developed a passion for wholesome cooking when i became vegetarian when I was 10 years old and realised the central place food occupies.

since, I have learned how to cook by and for myself and others, being mindful of seasonality, nutritional aspects, trends and creativeness.

deepened my practice by taking elevated plant-based cuisine degrees, learning about fermentation processes, plants, mushrooms and adaptogens,

I have degrees and a background in marketing. missing hosting and cooking, it is during this last degree, and living in germany, that I have launched my first foodie concept “à la french” based on culinary experiences and evolved from it.

Coming from France, having big family reunions and travelling a lot through Europe and the world , I deeply feel that food gathers everyone and everything together. It tells so much about a country, a community and a person.

I draw inspirations from what the season has to offer. from traditional french and family recipes, from travel and stories, from one product and one image. Culinary creations are my form of art. I wish spreading and democratising good cuisine, finding the best balance between wholesome, authentic yet deliciously marvellous dishes.
