My name is Tristan Esse and I am a private chef of 5 years now. I started working in the fine dining scene of London when I was 18 and grew and rose up the ranks ending up opening a restaurant in London. Unfortunately Covid closed that down and now have stepped into the world of private cheffing. I travel around the world and UK cooking for clients in all capacities. Cooking for me is about the produce and how you can make it sing. I love creating new cool ways to serve the simple British produce (you'll be amazed what a potato can do!)

many famous restaurants in London but for me it was the small fine dining places that taught me the most as they had the time and care everyday.

A cooking secret...

No dairy! Sounds mad but it masks the real flavour of produce and that is the key for me to properly delicious food.

Tristan listened to what our requirements were for our event and gave us a sensible proposal that met our brief for a traditional Christmas Dinner for 6 people. He was responsive to all communications and questions prior to the event. He was punctual and efficient but also relaxed and confident when he arrived. I felt confident we were in good hands from the get-go, and especially as he had recently been on MasterChef the Professionals, which impressed my clients. I think the highlight was his unique 'amuse bouche' canapes that he proposed as a starter which went down particularly well. He accommodated our request to have a choice of deserts since not everyone was a Christmas Pudding fan. The directors were all very impressed and the event was a huge success. We'd definitely recommend him (& have done so to other colleagues). Thank you Tristan!
