I originally wanted to be a journalist, but a scheduling mix-up at my high school in Miami landed me in a cooking class instead of the journalism class I’d signed up for. That twist of fate turned out to be life-changing. A visit from the culinary department of Johnson & Wales University to our school sparked something in me, and from that moment on, I was determined to become a chef—a passion I’ve pursued for over 18 years now. My restaurant in Miami, Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant and Bar, has won numerous awards and accolades including Best Restaurant Miami, Best Chef Miami, and 3X Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence.
