Get to know me better

My culinary skills are rooted in the authenticity of Italian traditions.

I have been cooking since I can remember. I grew up in a family where every moment was an occasion to celebrate. My first culinary experience is my family. My memories go back to the moments when my grandmother prepared pasta on Sunday mornings, the thousand roasts, the bread, pizza and focaccia and much more. I studied at the cooking school of San Benedetto del Tronto in the Marche region, and graduated in 2004. I worked for several years in many seafood restaurants in the area. In 2007 I moved to Melbourne where I worked in high-end restaurants with the young chef of the year (2008) Adam D’Sylva at the Pearl restaurant. Then other Italian and seafood restaurants until returning to Italy in 2009 with my partner Ilaria, my future wife, to manage a restaurant in Rome, Next the Spanish Steps. When I returned to Australia, my wife and I opened our “Michelangelo Osteria” in the center of Melbourne. authentic Roman cuisine without compromise, themed evenings such as regional dinners with wine pairings or Friday night aperitifs, have put our restaurant at the center of the Italian and non-Italian community of Melbourne. after 12 years, in 2022 we decided to move to the Moreton Bay Region, where we continue our profession in mobile mode with food trucks and pizza ovens and I also focused on a small production of traditional Porchetta from the Roman village of Ariccia.
