I’m a professionally trained chef based in Lanzarote, with experience in Spain and Norway.

My cooking is Mediterranean, with a strong interest in Canary Islands produce and a modern approach. I enjoy adapting the experience to the occasion: from a relaxed BBQ or a great rice dish to a more creative private dinner.

I focus on good ingredients, clean flavours and cooking that feels personal, generous and right for the moment.

We had the pleasure that Javier Ortuño Rodríguez cooked for us. It was the ultimate experience and truly exceptional. He listened to our wishes at the bringing to tailor the menu, was very discreet and efficient in the preparation at our Airbnb, and the service was special. As our 3 year old daughter wanted more of one dish, he quickly prepared more. The food was more than enough for everyone and tasted exceptionally. We would book him again, if we return to Lanzarote. Thank you so much for cooking for our family!

Javi was amazing. The food, presentation and communication was amazing. He made the night brilliant and he was a joy to have at our villa. I would recommend Javi to everyone based on his food alone, but his professionalism as well was amazing! Thank you to Javi for making it a great evening!

Our evening with Chef Javier was delightful, the food was delicious and perfect for our family celebration. Chef Javier was very communicative and responsive and took the time to understand what we would like to eat, coming up with new proposals and alterations to suit our tastes. Chef Javier was also a pleasure to have in our home and would certainly recommend him to anyone considering his food and service - thanks again Chef Javier, you made my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary dinner something to remember.

Javier was a great chef, we was very polite and acoomodating of our requests, the food was amazing and presented very nicely, he helped give us a night to remember whilst away and easily the best meal of our holiday. Would recomend him highly.
