Chef Martin Crane

I am a Michelin-trained chef with over twelve years of professional experience, including three years as Head Chef at FHIOR in Edinburgh — winner of Scottish Restaurant of the Year 2024. My background spans some of the most respected kitchens in the Edinburgh, including Restaurant Number One at The Balmoral, as well as stages across Europe in Michelin-starred restaurants.

My culinary style is rooted in modern European fine dining but heavily influenced by flavours and techniques from Asian cuisine. My dishes typically start with great local and seasonal produce which I prepare to create clean, bold flavours, and precise, elegant presentation. This blend of classical European training and a personal passion for Asian techniques gives me a unique versatility when designing bespoke menus.

As a private chef, I am able to create personalised menus, source high-quality local ingredients, and deliver seamless service for events of any scale.

I’m comfortable creating everything from refined tasting menus to relaxed, casual dishes tailored to the atmosphere of the occasion.

Now based in Ibiza long-term, I’m excited to bring my fine-dining experience and wide culinary range to private clients, villas and retreats across the island — offering food that is refined, flavour-driven and tailored to any occasion.
