Get to know me better

I'm a Cordon Bleu-trained chef with over a decade of yacht and UHNW villa experience, specializing in Mediterranean cuisine.

I've been bringing fresh, vibrant flavors to tables for over a decade, with formal Cordon Bleu training from Silwood School of Cookery in Cape Town shaping my foundation in classical French technique. But what truly defines my cooking isn't just what I learned in culinary school — it's the journey since then.

My culinary style is deeply rooted in Mediterranean cuisine, where simplicity meets sophistication. I believe the best dishes start at the market, not the pantry. Whether I'm sourcing fresh catch from a Greek harbor, picking vegetables from a Provençal farmer, or diving into the spice-filled souks of North Africa, I let seasonal, local ingredients guide my menus. Growing up on a farm in southern Africa taught me to respect the source of every ingredient, and that philosophy carries through everything I create.

What am I most proud of? Those moments when a perfectly grilled whole fish — kissed with lemon, olive oil, and fresh herbs — lands on the table and you see guests pause, truly present, savoring every bite. Or a simple pasta dish where the quality of ingredients and precise technique transform humble components into something memorable. I'm equally at home preparing elegant multi-course dinners for high-profile guests as I am feeding a hungry crew after a long day.

I've cooked on superyachts up to 85m, in remote safari camps with nothing but a fire and cast iron, and in UHNW villas across Europe. I thrive in the variety — the challenge of adapting, improvising, and always delivering exceptional food, no matter the environment.

At 44, I bring maturity, reliability, and genuine passion. I don't drink or smoke, stay fit, and approach every service with quiet professionalism and a collaborative spirit. I'm returning to full-time yachting after shore-based years prioritizing family, and I'm ready to bring everything I've learned back to the galley.

Let's create something delicious together.
