Chef Miriam Bellas

Miriam has a great personality, very kind and engaging. We were so glad she was cooking for our special dinner on New Year’s Eve, making it very special and delicious.

Chef Miriam made our family an amazing dinner, so much great food. It was easy to book and everything went smoothly.

Chef Miriam was fantastic. Every dish was delicious, interesting and beautifully presented. She went above and beyond as well with choosing the wine and sharing the story behind each dish. She was so kind and thoughtful as well, making our dinner special and memorable.

Our family spent a week in Portugal with Chef Miriam as our culinary guide. Anyone would be lucky to have such an experience with her. She is warm, friendly and one of the most accommodating and capable chefs we’ve had the privilege to know. The food was amazing, each day better than the previous, although in the moment of a given meal we couldn’t imagine anything else tasting better. Her peri peri chicken is not to be missed, and wouldn’t necessarily have been something we would have gravitated to, we mostly eat fish, but it was spectacular. The Lisboa cake was magnificent. She arrived promptly in the morning and on a moment’s notice sent a subset of us off surfing with packed breakfast sandwiches, much to our delight! She managed quirky appliances in our rental home with grace and we only learned of the challenges as we were leaving and mentioned in passing that we’d be informing the owners of some other issues. A consummate professional, with an impressive range. She introduced us to dishes in the broader Portuguese diaspora as well as local delicacies. Her training is extensive and she offered to cook a number of dishes, from a range of cuisines, but worked within our preferences easily providing diverse, delicious, healthy meals with Portuguese ties throughout our stay. We are now planning to invite her to join us on future European vacations, she’s that good! Do not miss out on Chef Miriam!

Miriam was absolutely incredible. The food she and her assistant Hugo made was perfect and she created such a fun atmosphere. She catered to all of our dietary requirements without any problem and was a great communicator. Myself and my 16 friends had a fantastic lunch and we are extremely grateful - our lunch with Miriam was the highlight of our trip! We would recommend to anyone who wants a brilliant lunch/dinner. Miriam was absolutely superb. Her meals were amazing, she was very professional, was not flustered by having to cook for 14 people twice a day with various dietary requirements, and she was all round wonderful in every aspect. Miriam was also very flexible with hours, swapping dinners for lunches and made meals for adults and children giving us lots of variety and always added healthy salads ... and her desserts were always a big hit with young and old alike. I highly recommend Miriam. We will use her again and again without doubt.
