Chef Fedra Funky Food

Hi, I’m Fedra — the creator behind these plates.

This project began four years ago on the island of Naxos. What started as a simple spark of inspiration slowly grew into something much bigger. What was once Greek Food Fedra has now evolved into Fedra Funky Food — a space where I bring together all the different parts of who I am.

I was born Greek, come from a Greek–Uruguayan family, and grew up in Buenos Aires. My journey blends cultures, and so does my cooking.

Alongside my work in the kitchen, I have spent years as a professional dancer and choreographer, traveling across the world. I have also worked for over fifteen years at sea, sailing and working on boats, and studied Humanistic astrology. All of these experiences shape the way I create.

This is more than a food project — it’s a life project. It’s about sharing, exchanging cultures and stories, and celebrating color and flavor.

I’m inspired by the human touch, by nature, and by the simple rhythm of life — the kind you find in the natural world and in real connection with others.

I offer private cooking experiences, small event catering, and curated gatherings such as cooking classes, relaxed BBQs, sunset happenings, and Argentinean empanada nights paired with wine. Each experience is designed to be personal, warm, and full of flavor.

Everything I use is fresh and local. I gather herbs throughout the seasons to offer vibrant, authentic flavors — from saffron, thyme, chamomile, and rosemary, to salt from the rocks of Naxos and water from its natural springs.
