Thanasis Gkalapis is a greek chef with 10 years of professional experience in Michelin starred kitchens and 5 star hotels. Launching his career in Thessaloniki, he refined his craft at Athens’ Michelin starred Spondi 1*, followed by Stockholm’s award winning Frantzen 3* and Fotografiska 1*. Returning to Greece, he led culinary teams at Elivi, Omma, and Santorini’s Hyatt. Currently in London, he creates bespoke dining experiences for UHNW guests.
Specializing in Mediterranean cuisine while drawing inspiration from global culinary traditions, he is known for his precision in recipe execution, innovative dish creation, and bespoke menu design. Whether crafting an intimate dinner or curating a grand event, Thanasis combines his passion for food with a deep commitment to quality and sustainability, ensuring every meal is a memorable culinary journey.
