I'm a passionate chef with love for my culinary tradition and culture but with a new wave vision
I'm Gianluca Donzelli,
an award-winning pizza chef from Napoli, Italy.
My passion for food and travel has transported me around the world, and now I call Sydney, Australia home.
Originally I was a surf instructor, the food of my motherland never left me, and in 2007 I decided to become a professional chef. Determined to master every aspect, I worked everywhere from pubs to Michelin star restaurants. My attention to detail means that my work is now widely recognised, recently I received the top award of 3 Slices from Gambero Rosso in 2018 and One Hat from Gault & Millau in 2016.
I respects my tradition whilst introducing an innovative, fresh approach to food. I'm considered a master instructor in my pizza craft. Chef Donzelli initiatives is to share my vision for the new generation of pizzaioli.
