Chef Francesca Nannetti

Born in Siena and raised in Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the heart of the Tuscan hills, I originally followed a very different path—earning a law degree and gaining experience abroad. But cooking has always been in my heart, thanks to my grandmother and mother, who passed down their love for home-cooked flavors.

Since 2008, I’ve been running Taverna della Berardenga, a historic restaurant in my hometown, where every dish tells the story of real Tuscan tradition. I share this passion and business with my husband Cesare, a professional sommelier, who works alongside me both in the restaurant and during private dinners and cooking classes, carefully pairing each dish with the perfect wine.

In recent years, we’ve brought the restaurant experience directly into people’s homes—offering customized dinners and authentic Tuscan cooking sessions that are all about warmth, simplicity, and real flavors.
