I'm Riccardo, a 42-year-old chef from Cagliari. I was originally a law student, but I started working in the kitchen purely out of passion. At 21, I began cooking and never stopped. I've always had the fortune of working with generous people who taught me a great deal—from Costa Smeralda to Tuscany, and even in Germany, in Munich, where I worked in an Italian restaurant and honed my skills through hands-on experience.

I'm also a self-taught scholar; I've learned the theory through the many books I've read over the years. I'm a curious person—I love to observe and study. My dishes take shape slowly: they first form in my mind, piece by piece, and only then do I bring them to life and test them out.

For my mom's 60th birthday, we wanted to book a private dinner through Take a Chef. After some initial disagreements with the first booked chef, the Take a Chef support team took care of the problem and connected us with Gianluca and Riccardo. From that moment on, everything went smoothly! Advance arrangements regarding the menu and our kitchen equipment were straightforward and friendly. Gianluca and Riccardo arrived, as promised, two and a half hours before the desired dinner time and began preparations. During preparations, both were open for some chatting like introducing the ingredients and their cooking technics and giving us some good tips for excursions in Sardinia. We received excellent service throughout the meal, our glasses were regularly refilled, and each course was a culinary delight! By the end of our dinner, everything in the kitchen had been tidied up; I'd even say it was cleaner than before! The food we didn't finish was stored in the refrigerator for the next day. You could tell that the two of them enjoyed making our evening a wonderful one! We would like to thank them both very much and can only warmly recommend booking Gianluca and Riccardo for a dinner at home or visit their soon-to-be-reopened Restaurant Sarti Del Gusto.
