I am a private chef based in Chania, Crete, creating relaxed and elegant dining experiences for guests staying in private villas, holiday homes, and luxury accommodations.

With more than 15 years of professional kitchen experience and a participation in MasterChef Greece, my cooking combines Cretan tradition, Mediterranean flavours, seasonal local ingredients, and careful restaurant-level execution.

My goal is to make every meal feel effortless for the guests: a warm welcome, a well-balanced menu, refined presentation, attentive service, quality tableware and serving equipment, and a clean kitchen at the end of the experience. I prepare private dinners, family-style meals, seafood menus, BBQ events, brunches, celebrations, and bespoke villa dining experiences with the spirit of authentic Cretan hospitality.

Amazing chef! He cooked for my family to celebrate my parents' 40th wedding anniversary. Great communication throughout and delicious dishes. He kept every commitment he made. I'd definitely recommend booking Dimitris!

I booked chef Dimitris Anagnostopolos for a private dinner for my husband and I while we were on Crete for our honeymoon. I worked with Dimitris on the perfect menu for the occasion and he was easy to communicate with and worked around my requests. He also provided the perfect suggestions for the type of wine to drink for the meal! On the day of the service he showed up on time and set to work. The whole experience was a dream to put it lightly. They worked quickly and before we knew it the appetizers were ready. We requested the meal to start at sunset and the timing was flawless. Every course was cooked to perfection and I had a very happy and spoiled husband at the end of the night. We’ve dined all over the world and have never been as impressed as we were with Chef Dimitris. We will recommend him to anyone coming to Crete, and hope to be back again!

We had Dimitris and his team to our villa to celebrate my mother-in-laws 70th birthday! The whole experience from start to finish was spot on. Dimitris was so engaging with me from the outset. And he was super responsive which I really liked and made me feel like we’d made the right decision. The food was outstanding! We loved every dish he served, but I have to say the chocolate birthday cake he made was incredible!! I would highly recommend to anyone coming the to Chania area!!

Dimitris is truly a world class chef and, in the two decades that we have been hiring chefs for our holidays and special events, we have never experienced the truly exceptional dishes and service that Dimitris and his team delivered. He creates a wide array of creative dishes for all tastes and the presentation is impeccable. We were a large group and this variety meant that adults and children alike could all find dishes that would delight them. We also found him to be impressively flexible and versatile both at the menu planning stage and on-site (all requests were met with a warm smile and communication both in person and on the phone was always a pleasurable experience). Finally, he is too modest to mention it (we only found out after we booked!) but he is quite the celebrity chef appearing on Masterchef amongst other media. Overall, a remarkable chef with a formidable team - we have recommended him across our social circles and, if you are lucky enough to experience his craft, you will never forget it !

Dimitris is a phenomenal chef and every aspect of the service was absolutely exceptional. One of the best meals of our lives. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

10/10 from us!! Dimitris reached out with friendly open approach, he advised on dishes and catered for exactly what we were looking for. We had not had a private chef before in Crete and Did not know what to expect. We had issues to begin with as the date we intended to book we had to swap with another date, this wasn’t a problem for Dimitris and we can honestly say Dimitris will be very hard to beat! When the food came out, we were advised in each dish, we were initially worried there may not be enough food as we were a large party but everyone one of us was completely stuffed afterwards. He cleaned up once he had finished and came and spoke to us after the meals, would highly recommend for a great experience, great food and brilliant hospitality!!!
