I am an amateur cook, self-taught, with a lot of passion for everything I do and always looking for improvement.

Thanks to my business partner who introduced me in this world so exciting and rich in emotions, I learned to develop my cooking skills working side by side in our restaurant, in several home services as well as in catering services aroung Spain.

Ten of us booked for a private dinner in Barcelona in January 2024. We worked with Chef Lauri to plan a "Spanish BBQ" menu. Our dinner was planned for September 18, 2024. Chef Lauri had been in contact all along and she contacted us several days before our event to tell us that she was in the hospital about to deliver her baby! But, not to worry, she had a back up plan. Her colleague, Luca, was taking up the task for our group of 10. Luca arrived at our rental apartment on time and orchestrated the most wonderful dinner imaginable! We feasted on courses of tuna belly, roasted veggies, potatoes, prawns, BBQ chicken, pork and ribs with Catalan Crema for dessert. We laughed, drank wine and had the best time with Luca. He did a fabulous job of cleaning up afterward. While this event could have not occurred without Chef Lauri's quick thinking, our evening was one of the most memorable of our trip! We will definitely look into using Take a Chef for future events. Thank you, Chef Lauri and Chef Luca!

We are so happy we found Lauri for our holiday. She prepared a wide range of delicious food! There was a great mix of local dishes and other cuisines as well. Her grocery bill as very very reasonable while still offering very high quality meat, seafood and and vegetables. She was happy to adapt to our food preferences and suggestions. We loved working with Lauri and would suggest her for others! She made our vacation so relaxing and memorable!
