AJ was very professional and definitely a gifted Chef. It was obvious he took the time to think through what he was cooking, and to make sure he obtained ingredients that were noticeably better than what he would expect. We talked about the meal for days after highly recommend AJ

Chef AJ was awesome and provided us and our guests two fantastic breakfasts where all ranted and raved about how good the food was! He was friendly and attentive and overall it was a great experience!

Chef AJ was incredible to work with. And, he prepared an amazing meal for our family of 10 on vacation, near Yellowstone National Park. He arrived on time, brought everything he needed to freshly prepare our meal on-site. From the appetizers to dessert, each dish was hand made, and described to us in detail. The house smelled incredible as Chef worked, and everyone was excited to try the food. Chef AJ answered any questions we had about the food, the ingredients or recipe(s). He was a pleasure to interact with, and shared some of his personal history, solidifying for us that he was beyond qualified. His use of local produce and meats from the Montana area near where we stayed, reminded us that supporting local vendors and purveyors should be a key factor in working with a local chef. Every dish that Chef AJ prepared was fresh, delicious and the perfectly portioned. While everyone was satisfied with the meal overall, there were leftovers also that we enjoyed the following day! This was our first time using a private chef for an event / meal and it could not have been better. We highly recommend using Take A Chef, and if in his area, Chef AJ Schmidt.

Chef AJ provided such a wonderful spread of food. He was extremely prepared and professional as well. He prepped, cooked, cleaned, set the table, etc. Truly provided a service that allowed us to not have to lift a finger which allowed us to enjoy our night even more! Thank you Chef AJ

AJ was very responsive and was amazing with communication. He arrived early, was very professional, and his food was amazing. He described each dish, what inspired him, and each dish was better throughout the meal. Fresh salmon, salad, ahi tuna, and desert. He truly is amazing. Highly recommend.

We hired Chef AJ for our very small wedding dinner and he knocked it out of the park! We gave AJ a general plan of what we wanted and he was able to suggest an awesome menu for us that was in-season, locally-sourced, and delicious! He was communicative, on time, and very personable!
