Chef Rachel Morris

With over 10 years of culinary experience, I am a small business owner, savory and pastry chef, caterer and barista. I have always had a passion to be a chef and been cooking since before I can even remember. At the age of 13, I started catering small parties for a family friend that always spurred my passion in the kitchen on. From there, I attended culinary classes at a tech school in my high school years. Then in 2016, I attended the Northwest Culinary Academy in Vancouver, WA. Since then, I have worked in a wide variety of bakeries, cafes and coffee shops, grocery stores and resorts. I've had the opportunity to cater small parties to large scale events and weddings up to 300, even up to 2-5 thousand at a resort. I've worked in fast paced environments, to easy going, private events in homes. I have catered and organized my own team for parties and weddings, and cooked for many friends and family gatherings. After many years, I am now starting my own small business, Joyls, with a large focus on European Pastries, such as sourdough, bagels, croissant and laminated pastry and fresh Handmade pasta. I love the art of food, from the flavor and technique, to the plating and display. Making each creation unique, beautiful and pleasing to the eye and palate.
