I'm a chef who was trained in Japan and the UK, who respects classic styles and admires modern cuisine.

I am Masa, a private chef specialising in traditional Edomae sushi. Based in Cheltenham, I bring the art of Japanese omakase dining to your home or private venue. My focus is on small groups of 2–8 guests, offering a refined multi-course sushi experience that combines authenticity, elegance and seasonal ingredients.

Each menu is carefully crafted to highlight the balance and precision of Edomae sushi, from delicate appetisers and sashimi to nigiri and rolls, finished with a light dessert. I source premium ingredients mainly from Cornwall and Japan.

Whether it is an intimate dinner, a celebration or a corporate gathering, I aim to create a memorable culinary journey that reflects the tradition and artistry of Japanese sushi.
