I'm driven by a passion for delivering exceptional service and creating meaningful, lasting impact.

Chef Walker is a Brooklyn native and graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. With a diverse background in the culinary arts, Chef Walker has worked in some of New York City's most renowned restaurants and traveled the globe to deepen his knowledge of international cuisine.

Drawn to the Hudson Valley for its vibrant community of artisans and rich agricultural culture, Chef Walker has immersed himself in the local food scene. He has contributed to some of the region’s top restaurants, earning accolades for his seasonal menus that showcase his unique culinary style and celebrate ingredients from local farmers and purveyors.

In 2014, Chef Walker founded B&L Hospitality, offering private chef services, culinary coaching, consulting, and catering. His mission "Creating Memories with Exceptional Food and Service"—guides every aspect of his work.

In June 2016, he opened Essie’s, a restaurant that blended global culinary influences with heartfelt tributes to his grandmother and the women in his family who inspired his passion for cooking. Essie’s earned acclaim from outlets including *The Poughkeepsie Journal, Hudson Valley Network News, Khaleej Times, Parlour Magazine, Daily Voice, Chronogram, Edible Hudson Valley, and Verizon FiOS Restaurant Hunters. It was also named Best of Hudson Valley in 2017, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 by Hudson Valley Magazine.

Chef Walker has made television appearances on Food Network’s Rewrapped and Chopped, as well as PBS and HGTV’s My Lottery Dream Home.

After closing Essie’s, he transitioned fully into the private chef space, where he now crafts intimate, personalized culinary experiences for clients—continuing his commitment to excellence and unforgettable dining.
