My journey in the kitchen began at home with my mother. Long before I ever stepped into a professional kitchen or culinary classroom, I learned the fundamentals of cooking through her hands—how food brings people together, how patience and love shape flavor, and how a simple meal can become a powerful act of care. Those early lessons built the foundation for everything I would later become as a chef. Cooking was never just about technique; it was about connection, responsibility, and heart.
I carried that foundation into formal culinary training, where I pursued my education with discipline and focus. I graduated at the top of my class, not only because I wanted to master technique, but because I wanted to understand food deeply—its science, its culture, and its potential to inspire change. Culinary school sharpened my skills and strengthened my confidence, but it also taught me humility. It showed me that no matter how much you learn, there is always more to discover in the kitchen.
Beyond school, my true education has come from the kitchens I have worked in and the people I have worked alongside. Every chef, cook, and teammate has added something to my craft—whether through technique, discipline, creativity, or resilience. I have learned in fast-paced environments, high-volume kitchens, and detail-driven restaurants where precision and teamwork matter. Each experience has shaped me into a chef who values collaboration, respect, and continuous growth.
What truly defines me in the kitchen is my belief in intention, meaning, and purpose. My secret is not a single recipe or method—it is the way I approach every service and every plate. I cook with intention by honoring ingredients and staying present in the process. I cook with meaning by understanding that food has emotional and cultural weight. And I cook with purpose by striving to nourish people in a way that is thoughtful, sustainable, and responsible.
