I’m chef Mike and I am one of the founders of Abode fine Dining. My team and I are passionate about creating a fine dining experience in your home unlike any other. We also do catering events, brunches, grill parties and office lunches but upscale fine dining experiences in your home are what we specialize in.

We am located in the Birmingham Michigan area but will travel long distances to provide you with a phenomenal meal.

Chef Mike was amazing! So helpful and made the process so enjoyable. I felt like a guest in my own home and it felt wonderful to be wined and dined in the comfort of my own home w loved ones. Highly recommend and will be definitely hiring chef Mike in the future!

Totally awesome experience. I would highly recommend Abode. Marcus was right on time. Everything went according to plan. He even helped out in serving my children who were seated at dinner with us. I have told several friends already about our dinner.

We had the most incredible meal thanks to Micheal. He was on time and flawlessly created a fine dining experience for our friends and us on New Year’s Eve so we could focus on quality time with each other. He paced the courses out and knew exactly when to serve more wine without us needing to ask. The food was deliciously rich and beautifully plated. It was an amazing memory for us and I would not hesitate to do this again!

Excellent in every way!

Michael was very professional and attentive, responded quickly. Worked with me to set up the perfect menu based on my preference. Swapped a few dishes to make it more special. Appetizers were perfect, we also added a special cocktail hour for an extra $150 and it was well worth it. The food was presented restaurant style and quality and tasted great! Would definitely have him come back for any future parties.

Chef Mike was perfect for our bachelorette private dinner, and made the most delicious sorbet I have ever had in my life. Was very engaging and talked with us and now I have to go watch “Pressure Cooker” on Netflix! Hope to work with him again some day

Chef Eckels was excellent with his service. We truly enjoyed every dish and he even catered one of his dishes for the kids. We especially appreciated the intricacies of the potato nest with the egg jam and nori. It was an excellent mouche bouche for a starter. Would highly recommend to anyone!

What a fantastic night. I decided to use take a chef Michael Eckles for a nice Xmas dinner with my team. It was just fabulous. I am a foody and very picky. This was better than I even expected. The chef might be young but he is incredibly talented. The evening went smooth. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. I will definitely use the chef and his team again and again and again!!

My husband and I celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary dinner with Chef Todd Ryan as our personal chef. Chef Todd was Fantastic!!! He was on tume and prepared. He worked in our kitchen with comfort and ease. My husband and I were able to sit and enjoy our time together all the while receiving excellent service. The food was delicious and prepared perfectly. The Chef left my kitchen spotless and our bellies full. Thank you again for a once in a lifetime experience...We will definitely recommend Take a Chef and Chef Todd to our family and friends.

Chef Michael Eckles was right on time. Personable, attentive and explain each course and answered all our questions. The menu was sent to us in advance. The food was incredible. Each course was better than the next. We prepare all our meals for scratch from home most days, but we learned so much from Chef Michael and had ingredients new to us. We would certainly recommend Chef Michael to everyone without hesitation.

Chef Mike arranged for his sous chef, Chef Marcus, to prepare and serve the menu items for our small group. Marcus did an outstanding job throughout the evening, from explaining the ingredients and cooking methods, to plating, serving, engaging with us and final cleanup. Overall, a memorable evening with fantastic food, all of us would highly recommend. Five stars.
