We’ll transform your home into one of Salt Lake City's best restaurants, dedicated to providing the best quality service to you and your guests. Simply tell us your food preferences and our chefs will send you original menu ideas - all you have to do is choose your favorite. On the day of the service, your chosen chef will buy the freshest ingredients, cook and serve the meal in your home. Best of all, they’ll leave your kitchen cleaner than when they arrived!

At Take a Chef we are proud to offer unique and innovative experiences to our customers. We aim to create the perfect experience for you and find the best chef for your needs. All of our chefs have a decade of culinary experience and have been trained in the best cooking schools in the country. Once you receive their menu proposals, you’ll be able to view their profile and see information about their training and experience. You’ll also be able to contact them directly to make any changes to the menu they have proposed.

Billy was our scheduled chef for the evening, but unfortunately he was not able to provide services for our dinner. He let us know a month in advance and made the arrangements necessary so that our dinner could be just as special. Billy introduced us to Chef Dane prior to our date. Dane was the perfect choice for our day. It was nice to be able to get to know him a little and learn how he started cooking. Dane prepared the dishes from scratch and presented them to us in a better way that we could have expected. He made us feel excited over every dish that he made for us that evening and the dishes came out better than he described them to us. They were all pretty big too which we did not expect, but it was nice because we had delicious leftovers for the next couple of days. Thank you Billy and Dane for making our wedding day so special and adding a delicious taste that we'll remember forever.

Ernesto's food and service were amazing! He put together such a fabulous menu with delicious flavors. All 9 of us agreed it was wonderful from start to finisgh.
